Born to a father who is a Vietnam Veteran, and a mother who has Mucolipidosis, I knew early on I wanted a career devoted to helping and servicing others.  As such, I forewent a basketball scholarship to focus on academics, and work. Because I was the first in my family to go to college, I realized the importance of education apropos of said career goal; thus, I put all of my efforts into obtaining that goal.

I have ten years of experience working in a psychiatric hospital, closely working with people dealing with issues related to anxiety, depression, addictions, anger, grief and loss, mania, psychosis, paranoia, personality, traumatic brain injury, LGBTQI discrimination, job loss, poverty, homelessness, racism, sexism, classism, ageism, inter alia.  Moreover, I have extensive experience working with children and adolescents, having worked on a pediatric unit for many years.  I currently work as an intake clinician, assessing people for appropriate, person-to-service congruence; and, in the role of medical social worker, advocating for geriatric residents.  In addition, I currently offer private, individual, couple, and family counseling services.

When not working, or with my family, I am running, reading, or playing chess.
